Payment

Once your reservation is made with Singapore Swim School, the placement will be held for three days. This allows time for the first full payment to be made either by cheque or bank transfer. At that time, the reservation will be confirmed.

Lesson Rate Variations

Class fees are based on four-week lesson per month (four lessons per month).

Termination

Two weeks’ notice is required from every student wishing to terminate his/ her lessons.

Provisions for Safety and Inclement Weather

i. To provide for the safety of all students and their families, the ultimate responsibility for cancelling or postponing swimming lessons because of bad weather rest solely with the swimming instructor or pool authority.

ii. Any swimming lesson which has begun and must be stopped due to unforeseen circumstances such as but not limited to bad weather, will be replaced by water safety lessons, Q&A sessions or land-based drills at the discretion of the instructor.

Attendance Policy and Make-up Provisions

For Group Lessons: 

Absenteeism, tardiness or cancellation of lesson for any reasons cannot be replaced for any of the group lesson plans. However, some coaches do offers make up lesson out of good will and the time slot will be in favor of the instructor’s availability.

For Private Lessons: 

i. No makeup lesson will be provided when the student arrives late or when the pool is closed, for any reason whatsoever. Nor will either situations entitles the student for any compensations.

ii. Makeup lessons may be arranged at the instructor’s convenience providing the student provide a minimum of six hours’ notice. For lessons scheduled over the weekend, notice must be received by Friday as the instructor may be unavailable to contact within the six hour window over the weekend.

iii. Students must attend a minimum of four lessons every month. Failure to do so will result in the outstanding lessons being forfeited.

*Scheduling of make up lessons (for the whole group) will be in favor of the instructor’s availability.

Holiday Policy

Swimming lessons and classes will not be conducted on any of the days listed below.

Singapore Swim School does not provide notification of the holiday closures. It is therefore the students' responsibility to be aware of any holiday closures.

  - Singapore Public Holidays

  - New Year Eve

  - Christmas Eve

  - Chinese New Year Eve

  - Chinese New Year (1st to the 5th day of lunar calendar)

Refund Policy

i. Refund requests must be made either 7 days prior to the first lesson or 7 days following date for payment, whichever occurs first.

ii. Singapore Swim School will only make a 50% refund of the amount paid in any case of cancellation notices  given less than 7 days prior to the first lesson or less than 7 days after payment has been made.

iii. Once lessons commence, no refunds will be given. This is a strictly enforced policy.

iv. It is the student's responsibility to understand this refund policy prior to registration for lessons through Singapore Swim School.

Example 1

The first lesson is scheduled for 11th July and payment was made on 1st July. If the customer request for a refund is made by 4th July, (7 days prior to the first lesson), a FULL refund will be given to that customer. Requests received after 4th July will result in the customer receiving only a 50% refund.

Example 2

If the first lesson is scheduled for 25th July and the payment was made on 1st July, a FULL refund is only possible if the request is made by 8th July (7 days after the payment was made). On dates after 8th July, the customer will only be entitled to a 50% refund of fees that has been paid.

Example 3

In any case where the first lesson falls on the 7th of the month, but the payment was made on the 1st of the month, NO FULL REFUND will be possible as this is less than 7 days prior to the first lesson. Only a 50% refund is possible.

Example 4

If the lesson is set for 4th July and the payment was made 1st June, NO REFUND would be possible after the 4th July (no refunds once lessons commence).

Fee Transfer Policy

No transfer of fees to a third party is allowed.

Relief of Swimming Instructor

If the scheduled swimming instructor is unavailable, Singapore Swim School reserves the right to provide the student/ class with a substitute swimming instructor.

Temporary Discontinuation

Any student who wishes to take a leave of absence from swimming lessons for a month or more must leave a deposit equivalent to one month’s fees in order for the instructor to leave the slot open.

Swimming Equipment

Swimming equipment including but not limited to swimming attire, goggles, flotation] boards and a swim cap must be provided by the student.

Responsibility

Singapore Swim School will not be held accountable for any claims or costs associated with claims that arise from any injury, damage or loss of life that may occur in classes or lessons.
